Kevin O'Brien produces the most lustrous and painterly pillows, duvets, quilts, and rugs from his studio in Philadelphia and workshops in Nepal. Made from silk and cotton velvet, each piece is begun from a blank slate of white velvet, then screen printed by hand. Next they are painted with layers of dye, giving them depth, richness and shimmering iridescence. O'Brien personally draws the patterns and designs that are made into printing screens. His works are sold in some of the best stores in the country, including in Dallas at Peacock Alley, where you can find an exclusive collection of pillows and bolsters he's designed just for them.
You'll have a chance to meet Kevin O'Brien and see his new collection when he's in Dallas at Peacock Alley for a trunk show on Thursday, September 21 from 5 to 7 pm. I'm told his pillows are so popular they're hard to keep in stock — but if you miss him, Peacock Alley can order anything from his collection for you, and everything is also customizable.
