Portrait of the American Craftsman, a show of beautiful photography and story telling by Tadd Myers, opens Thursday, April 16 (see invitation below) at the photographer's studio,
Bolt Productions, 2410 Farrington St. Dallas, Texas 75207 (Phone 214.234.8423).
The series of photos, which feature craftsmen in Texas making things the old fashioned way by hand, from boot makers to baseball glove makers to guitar makers, was inspired by a photo shoot Myers did for Fort Worth architectural millworker Brent Hull whose work is shown here. I wrote about Hull's work recently for the Fort Worth Showhouse.
Myers' photos have been bound into a limited edition book, which will be for sale at the show. You can also view the book online. At the reception, gallery prints will be offered for sale for a minimum donation to the Intrepid Fallen Hero's Fund to support the families of
fallen soldiers.
